Growth Officer - Trade Finance (Abeokuta)

About the role

eRecruiter is recruiting, on behalf of its client, a collateral-free trade transaction finance company that gives business owners quick access to funds for their operations. The company offers short-term financing to trade and supply chain businesses and allied enterprises in Nigeria. It is looking for Growth Officers in Abeokuta, Ogun State, to build merchant relationships and drive sales.

Key responsibilities

• Acquire new merchants and manage existing merchant transactions, including draw downs and repayments
• Develop and implement sales strategies to acquire new merchants and generate revenue
• Identify new business opportunities and plan how to capitalise on them
• Build and maintain strong relationships with merchants to ensure satisfaction and loyalty
• Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
• Conduct market research to identify potential customers and market trends
• Prepare and deliver sales presentations to potential customers
• Negotiate contracts and terms with merchants
• Work closely with internal teams such as Risk & Compliance, Retention, Technical Support and Product
• Monitor and analyse sales performance and recommend improvements

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or a related field is an added advantage
• At least 2 years of experience in sales, business development or a similar role
• Experience in the transaction finance industry is a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong negotiation and closing skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
