Group Security Manager

About the role

The Group Security Manager will lead the security function for the entire organization in Nigeria, overseeing protection of people, assets, facilities and reputation. Reporting to the Group Head of Administration, the role provides strategic direction to all site Chief Security Officers and acts as the principal advisor on security matters.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a Group‑wide security and recovery strategy, ensuring consistent policies and procedures across all locations.
• Lead asset protection, loss prevention and recovery initiatives to minimise theft, fraud, vandalism and other security breaches.
• Oversee security operations in manufacturing plants, warehouses, depots and distribution channels, partnering with supply‑chain and logistics teams.
• Direct investigations, intelligence gathering and crisis management, maintaining relationships with law‑enforcement and responding to critical incidents.
• Drive adoption of security technologies, monitor performance through KPIs and lead continuous‑improvement programmes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminology, Law, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years progressive experience in corporate security, investigations or risk management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Professional security certifications (e.g., CPP, PSP) are an advantage.
• Proven experience in FMCG, manufacturing, logistics or multi‑site operations.
• Demonstrated success in managing investigations, loss prevention, crisis response and stakeholder engagement.
