Group Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Group Accountant to lead accounting and consolidation activities for SZH GROUP and its subsidiaries across the mining, energy and metals sectors. The role involves overseeing financial reporting, cash management and compliance to support strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee group accounting, review subsidiary accounts and ensure adherence to accounting policies.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements and management reports.
• Perform intercompany reconciliations, eliminate balances and manage intercompany loans and cash flows.
• Maintain the group’s fixed‑asset register, capital project accounting and depreciation schedules.
• Enforce financial controls, review payment documentation and monitor cash movements.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisers, ensuring audit‑ready records and statutory compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; ACA/ACCA preferred.
• 4–8 years of experience in a multi‑subsidiary or holding‑company environment, with proven consolidation expertise.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, intercompany accounting and financial controls.
• Ability to work independently, meet tight reporting deadlines and travel to remote sites.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with ERP or accounting software systems.
