Generator Technician

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Generator Technician to provide on‑site maintenance, repair and installation of diesel generators for our clients in Lagos and surrounding areas. You will work directly with customers, ensuring their power equipment operates reliably and safely.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and repair diesel generators, including engine, alternator, control panel and wiring.
• Perform routine services: change engine oil, filters, coolant, check batteries and belts.
• Install new generators at customer sites, connect cables, test and commission units.
• Travel to customer offices, homes or companies to carry out repairs and maintenance.
• Prepare a simple post‑job report and advise customers on proper generator use.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience with diesel generators (e.g., Mikano, FG Wilson).
• OND, Trade Test or apprenticeship in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering; certification is a plus.
• Willingness to travel for field work and a valid driver’s licence.
• Strong problem‑solving ability, honest customer attitude.
