General Manager – Security Services

About the role

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our security services and manpower supply operations in Port Harcourt. The role involves overseeing daily operations, driving business growth, and maintaining strong client relationships across multiple sites.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and manage day‑to‑day business operations.
• Supervise deployment, administration, and performance of security personnel at client locations.
• Lead operations, HR, administration, and finance functions to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Maintain and develop client relationships, addressing service issues promptly.
• Drive business development, negotiate contracts, manage renewals, and retain clients.
• Ensure compliance with private security regulations, labour laws, licensing requirements, and safety standards in Nigeria.
• Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and service‑improvement initiatives.
• Conduct risk assessments, oversee incident reporting, and manage investigations of security‑related issues.
• Monitor budgets, operational costs, and overall business performance.
• Prepare reports and provide updates to the Managing Director and Board.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Security Management, Criminology, Management or related field.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in security services, operations management, or manpower outsourcing.
• Proven experience managing large teams and multiple operational/client sites.
• Strong knowledge of private security operations and regulatory requirements in Nigeria.
• Experience in client management, contract management, business development and service delivery.
• Professional certification in security management, risk management or operations management is an advantage.
