General Manager – Manufacturing Operations

About the role

Our client, a leading manufacturing company in Enugu, is seeking a highly experienced General Manager to provide strategic and administrative leadership across all business functions. The role demands a results‑driven professional who can drive operational excellence, business growth and a high‑performance culture.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic and administrative direction to achieve business objectives.
• Oversee day‑to‑day administration, coordinating production, finance, sales, supply chain and general operations.
• Develop and implement policies, systems and structures that support growth, profitability and efficiency.
• Monitor organisational performance and ensure key business targets are met.
• Lead, mentor and develop senior management and departmental teams.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, customers, suppliers and regulatory agencies.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory and company policies.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all functions.
• Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts and resource allocation.
• Identify business opportunities, manage risks and support long‑term sustainability.
• Promote a culture of accountability, integrity, innovation and operational excellence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Management or related field (MBA preferred).
• 10‑12 years’ experience in a General Manager or senior administrative leadership role within manufacturing.
• Strong commercial and financial management skills with proven business acumen.
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship‑building abilities.
• Results‑oriented work ethic and strong decision‑making capabilities.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to lead organisational transformation and drive growth.
