General Manager – Hospitality Operations

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic General Manager to lead the operations of our hospitality property in Anambra, Nigeria. The role combines strategic oversight with day‑to‑day management to drive commercial growth, operational excellence, and an outstanding guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all property departments (Front Office, F&B, Housekeeping, Engineering), monitor brand standards and implement process improvements based on guest feedback.
• Manage budgets, review P&L statements, analyse key hospitality KPIs (RevPAR, GOP) and identify cost‑saving and revenue‑generating opportunities.
• Prepare performance reports and presentations for corporate ownership, manage executive schedules and coordinate high‑profile property events.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to secure corporate accounts, major group bookings and evaluate property growth or renovation opportunities.
• Act as the primary brand ambassador, maintaining strong relationships with VIP guests, corporate clients, suppliers and regulatory authorities.
• Handle sensitive data (VIP profiles, payroll, financial records) with discretion and proactively mitigate operational, safety or financial risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality or Business (MBA is a plus).
• Minimum of 5 years of senior‑level hospitality management experience.
• High emotional intelligence under pressure, strong work ethic and decisive leadership style.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Experience with Property Management Systems (PMS).
• Familiarity with revenue management software.
• Advanced MS Office skills.
