Full-time Accountant – Port Harcourt

About the role

The company is seeking a full‑time Accountant to join its finance team in Port Harcourt. You will be responsible for managing daily financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, payments and collections.
• Reconcile general ledger entries and support internal and external audits.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and payroll accounting.
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and accounting standards.
• Identify and implement process improvements in accounting workflows.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate or construction.
• Knowledge of regulatory and tax compliance requirements.
• Professional certification such as ACCA or ICAN is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ZohoBooks.
• Experience using ERP or other accounting software.
