Full Stack Engineer – Remote Contract

About the role

Hometown NP is a virtual telepsychiatry platform that connects clinicians with patients across the United States. We are seeking a remote full‑stack engineer to design, build, and scale secure, HIPAA‑aware healthcare software.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain web applications across the full stack.
• Develop responsive front‑end interfaces and robust back‑end services.
• Integrate APIs, EHR/practice‑management systems, and third‑party healthcare tools.
• Apply AI/automation to improve clinical and operational workflows.
• Write clean, scalable, well‑documented code.

Required profile

• 3–5+ years of full‑stack development experience.
• Portfolio or GitHub showing production‑grade, scalable work.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently across time zones.
• Bonus: experience in healthcare, telehealth, or HIPAA‑regulated environments.

Required skills

• Front‑end: React and/or Angular.
• Back‑end: Java and/or Python.
• REST APIs.
• Cloud deployment.
• AI/ML integration (strong plus).

What we offer

• Contract compensation ranging from $500 to $1,000 per month, based on experience and hours.
