Full-Stack Engineer (JSON Schema Developer) – Remote

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Full-Stack Engineer specialized in JSON Schema development to work remotely on a contract basis. You will translate complex PDF documents into robust, deeply nested JSON schemas that power our data pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Review and analyze complex PDF documents to identify relevant data fields for extraction.
• Design and implement deeply nested JSON schemas from scratch, following best practices for data modeling.
• Define field types, naming conventions, and hierarchical structures to accurately represent nested and repeated information.
• Embed granular validation logic, including sum checks and null-testing, to ensure data integrity.
• Collaborate with API Gateway teams to design, document, and enforce API contracts using JSON Schema standards.
• Work closely with stakeholders to refine requirements and produce clear, actionable schema documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing complex JSON schemas with multilevel nesting and objects within arrays.
• Strong proficiency in JSON, schema design, and data validation methodologies.
• Ability to interpret raw documents and architect robust information models from scratch.
• Deep understanding of required vs. optional fields, data types, field descriptions, and validation rules.
• Hands‑on experience with API Gateway management and defining secure API contracts.
