French Teacher

About the role

We are looking for a French Teacher to plan and deliver French lessons in line with the school curriculum at New Wave International School in Enugu. The role involves teaching all language skills and building students’ confidence in communicating in French.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver French lessons according to the curriculum.
• Teach French grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
• Develop students’ confidence in communicating in French.
• Prepare lesson plans, assignments, tests, and examination materials.
• Use interactive activities and teaching resources to improve learning.
• Assess students’ academic progress and provide feedback.
• Introduce students to French‑speaking cultures where relevant.
• Maintain effective classroom management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree/HND in French, French Education, Modern Languages, or a related field.
• Strong spoken and written French.
• Previous teaching experience is an advantage.
• Good communication and classroom management skills.
• Ability to create engaging language‑learning activities.
• TRCN certification is an advantage.
