Fleet Assistant Operations Manager

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Fleet Assistant Operations Manager to lead daily fleet activities for a fast‑growing mobility company in Abuja. Reporting to senior management, you will oversee driver teams, ensure vehicle availability and support the company’s rapid expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily fleet operations and drive operational efficiency.
• Supervise drivers and field personnel, ensuring compliance with company standards.
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance schedules to maximise fleet availability.
• Monitor daily collections and overall operational performance.
• Prepare weekly and monthly operational reports for management.
• Identify and resolve operational issues with practical solutions.
• Develop, update and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and lead continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Transport Management, Operations Management or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in operations, logistics, transportation, mobility or fleet management.
• Proven experience managing drivers or field teams.
• Strong leadership, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• High level of integrity, accountability and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced startup environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
