First Officer - Business Aviation

About the role

Adexen has been mandated by one of its clients to recruit an experienced First Officer for its private aviation operations. The role involves supporting the operation of Bombardier Challenger 604/605 aircraft on domestic and international missions, working alongside experienced Captains. It is based in Nigeria with regular international operations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Captain in the safe and efficient operation of all flights.
• Take part in pre-flight planning, aircraft preparation and operational briefings.
• Support navigation, radio communications and flight management activities.
• Take part in flight planning, aircraft performance calculations and preparation of operational documentation.
• Ensure compliance with aviation regulations, Standard Operating Procedures and internal safety requirements.
• Monitor aircraft systems and flight parameters throughout operations.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams, dispatch, ground handling providers and other operational partners.
• Maintain effective Crew Resource Management and contribute to continuous improvement of flight safety.
• Keep passengers, schedules, destinations and flight operations confidential and remain flexible for short-notice assignments.

Required profile

• Valid ICAO Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL).
• Current Class 1 Medical Certificate.
• Minimum 2,000 total flight hours.
• Previous experience in corporate, private or business aviation preferred; Bombardier Challenger 604/605 type rating preferred, but candidates willing and eligible to obtain it may also be considered.
• Valid passport and ability to obtain the visas needed for international operations.
• Willingness to be based in Nigeria and to work weekends, public holidays and short-notice flights.
