Business Aviation Captain – Bombardier Challenger 604/605

About the role

Adexen has been mandated by one of its clients to recruit an experienced Captain for private aviation operations. The successful candidate will fly a Bombardier Challenger 604/605 and ensure the highest standards of flight safety, operational efficiency and professionalism on domestic and international missions. The position is based in Nigeria with regular international operations.

Key responsibilities

• Act as Pilot-in-Command for Challenger 604/605 flight operations.
• Ensure all flights are conducted safely and in line with aviation regulations, approved procedures and operating standards.
• Carry out pre-flight preparation including flight planning, performance calculations, weather assessment and operational risk evaluation.
• Maintain high standards of aircraft operation, safety and flight discipline.
• Exercise sound judgement and decision-making across a wide range of operational conditions.
• Coordinate with dispatch teams, maintenance providers, ground handling partners and aviation authorities.
• Keep aircraft documentation, flight records and operational reports accurate and up to date.
• Maintain Crew Resource Management and promote a strong safety culture within the flight crew.
• Deliver a consistently high standard of service and keep passenger, schedule and destination information confidential.
• Stay available for international missions and short-notice assignments.

Required profile

• Valid ICAO Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL).
• Current Bombardier Challenger 604/605 type rating.
• Minimum 3,500 total flight hours.
• Significant experience in corporate, private or business aviation, with strong international flight operations experience.
• Current Class 1 medical certificate.
• Valid passport and ability to obtain the visas needed for international operations; willingness to be based in Nigeria.
• Strong safety record with no history of serious incidents or regulatory enforcement actions.
• References and background checks required before appointment.

Required skills

• Excellent knowledge of ICAO regulations and international flight procedures.
• Strong Crew Resource Management and excellent technical flying and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with integrity, professionalism and discretion.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and availability for extensive international travel, including weekends and public holidays.
