FinTech Engineering Lead – Onsite in Lagos

About the role

We are looking for an experienced FinTech Engineering Lead to drive the design, development, and delivery of secure, scalable financial technology solutions. The role is fully onsite in Ogba/Ikeja, Lagos State, and involves leading a team of engineers to build payment platforms, digital banking services, and API‑driven products while meeting regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers, technical leads, and developers.
• Define engineering standards, system architecture, and cloud‑native strategies for fintech platforms.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain high‑availability, secure, and scalable financial applications.
• Integrate payment gateways, banking APIs, wallets, and third‑party financial services.
• Ensure code quality through reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with product, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders to deliver projects on time.
• Maintain compliance with financial regulations and security standards, supporting audit readiness.
• Drive operational excellence, monitoring, incident response, and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams in a fintech or financial services environment.
• Strong understanding of payment processing, digital banking, and API ecosystems.
• Hands‑on engineering background with a track record of delivering complex, high‑performance systems.
• Experience working with cross‑functional teams and adhering to regulatory compliance.
