Financial Accountant – Full‑Time, Onsite in Lagos

About the role

The company is seeking a Financial Accountant to act as the financial intelligence engine during a period of rapid transformation. Based in Ikeja, Lagos, you will safeguard revenue discipline, support growth initiatives, and provide accurate financial insight to senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts (P&L by service line, cost variance) and quarterly financial reviews.
• Maintain and update a rolling financial model, delivering scenario analyses and unit‑economics for new proposals.
• Lead the annual budgeting process, consolidate inputs, present to the CEO, and monitor monthly performance.
• Own all bookkeeping functions – chart of accounts, fixed‑asset register, bank reconciliations, and journal entries in the company’s accounting software.
• Manage multi‑currency invoicing, chase overdue payments, and keep a rolling cash‑flow forecast.
• Process payroll accurately, handle tax and pension deductions, and manage petty‑cash and expense claims.
• Ensure timely filing of VAT, CIT, PAYE, and pension obligations; liaise with auditors and tax advisors.
• Monitor foreign‑exchange exposure, advise on Naira conversion timing, and optimise multi‑currency payouts.
• Integrate accounting data with the financial model and support finance onboarding for new hires.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of hands‑on experience in finance or accounting, covering management accounts, payroll, invoicing, and cash‑flow management.
• Professional qualification or progress toward ICAN, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent.
• Strong command of Excel or Google Sheets and familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint and OneDrive.
