Finance Relationship Officer

About the role

A full-time Finance Relationship Officer position based in Abuja and Lagos, focused on growing the business through new loan and investment deals while managing credit risk and client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities to increase revenue and market share, generating leads for loans and investments.
• Implement the company's business development and marketing strategies and build strong relationships with clients, partners and stakeholders.
• Assess the creditworthiness of potential clients and recommend credit facilities, preparing compelling business proposals.
• Contribute to growth strategies by spotting emerging market trends, customers, partnerships, products and services.
• Oversee the loan portfolio to ensure timely repayments and minimal defaults, using sound credit judgment to keep non-performing loans low.
• Monitor accounts under management and research new ways to reach existing markets.

Required profile

• HND or BSc in Marketing, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in sales, marketing, business development and credit management within financial services.
• Proven track record of achieving business development targets.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of credit analysis, risk assessment and financial products.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Analytical mindset with data-driven decision-making.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
