Finance Officer

About the role

The Finance Officer will support a hospitality and membership club in Ikoyi, Lagos, managing day‑to‑day accounting across multiple revenue streams. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will ensure accurate financial records, timely reconciliations, and preparation of monthly management accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain up‑to‑date records in Zoho Books for all revenue and cost categories.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations for all business accounts.
• Manage end‑to‑end accounts payable, including invoice processing and supplier statement reconciliation.
• Handle accounts receivable, issue client invoices, track outstanding balances and maintain clean aging reports.
• Oversee Family Club member accounts, perform daily reconciliations and respond to member queries.
• Process monthly payroll and ensure accurate, on‑time submissions.
• Prepare VAT and PAYE schedules for review and filing.
• Draft monthly management accounts (trial balance, P&L, balance sheet) for Finance Manager review.
• Maintain organized financial documentation for internal audit readiness.
• Assist the Finance Manager with ad‑hoc analysis and reporting tasks.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of hands‑on accounting experience with strong bookkeeping and month‑end close skills.
• Part‑qualified or fully qualified ACA/ACCA, or an HND/BSc in Accounting or related field with equivalent experience.
• Proven ability to manage reconciliations, AP/AR cycles, invoicing and payroll.
