Finance Manager – Hospitality & Membership Business

About the role

The Finance Manager will lead the end‑to‑end financial function for a hospitality and membership club in Ikoyi, Lagos. This hands‑on position reports to the executive leadership team and is responsible for delivering accurate books, insightful analysis, and proactive cash and tax management.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full monthly financial reporting cycle, from close to management accounts, ensuring timely delivery to leadership.
• Review and sign off on all Finance Officer output, including reconciliations, journals, AP/AR schedules, invoicing and payroll.
• Produce financial commentary that identifies performance drivers, pressure points and concrete action recommendations.
• Actively manage cash position, monitor runway, flag risks and propose mitigation actions.
• Lead end‑to‑end tax compliance (VAT, PAYE, corporate tax), maintain a compliance calendar and provide routine tax guidance.
• Conduct detailed pricing and cost analysis, especially procurement spend, to support precise cost‑reduction decisions.
• Drive budgeting and forecasting, maintain rolling performance views and highlight significant variances.
• Assess, design and improve financial workflows and system configurations, including management of the accounting system (Zoho Books preferred).

Required profile

• Hands‑on finance professional comfortable overseeing month‑end close, reporting and tax compliance.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to turn data into actionable insights for senior leadership.
• Proactive cash manager who can anticipate risks and recommend solutions.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting and cost‑analysis within a multi‑revenue business.
