Finance Lead

About the role

Reporting to the Head of Finance in the UK, the Finance Lead will be responsible for leading and coordinating all restricted budgets for Christian Aid in Nigeria. The role provides strategic financial leadership and oversight for the Multi‑Country Cluster, ensuring effective resource management, compliance and value for money across a consortium of partners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and coordination to align resources with the programme’s theory of change.
• Provide financial analysis and information to the senior management team of the Multi‑Country Cluster.
• Ensure financial strategies and resource allocation support youth‑centred and gender‑responsive programming, particularly in the poultry value chain.
• Oversee financial systems, funding mechanisms and risk management to maintain accountability and compliance.
• Foster transparent, accountable collaboration with NGOs, agribusiness partners, financial institutions, youth organisations, government actors and donors.
• Monitor financial performance and report on value for money across the consortium.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading and coordinating restricted budgets in an international development or NGO context.
• Ability to provide strategic financial leadership across multi‑partner programmes.
• Strong understanding of youth‑centred and gender‑responsive financial planning.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
