Finance Controller – Nigeria

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Controller to lead the financial function for our operations in Nigeria. The role will be responsible for overseeing profitability, managing banking and trade finance activities, and ensuring robust financial controls across export and logistics processes. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with senior management to align financial strategy with business growth objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage overall profit and loss (P&L) and drive profitability across all business units.
• Handle banking relationships, trade finance, and foreign exchange operations.
• Oversee export execution and logistics to ensure timely and compliant shipments.
• Maintain strong financial controls, reporting standards, and compliance.
• Lead, mentor and manage finance teams to achieve departmental objectives.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA, ICAI) qualification or an MBA in Finance.
• Minimum 5 years of finance experience within Nigeria or West Africa.
• At least 3 years of experience in export‑related finance.
• Deep knowledge of P&L management, banking, trade finance and forex.
