Finance Business Partner

About the role

ERCAS is seeking a commercially astute and results-driven Finance Business Partner who will provide strategic financial insights, strengthen financial controls and drive business performance. The role works closely with business and operational leaders, turning financial data into actionable insights that support profitability, cost optimisation, operational efficiency and informed decision-making.

Key responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting and periodic financial performance reviews.
• Analyse financial results, identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide commercial and financial insights to support strategic business decisions.
• Monitor revenue, profitability, operating costs and working capital.
• Identify cost optimisation opportunities and improve financial efficiency.
• Develop financial models, business cases and investment appraisals.
• Prepare management reports, dashboards and financial performance analyses.
• Strengthen budgetary controls and financial accountability across business units.
• Partner with departmental heads to align financial plans with business objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
• 5-8 years' experience in financial planning and analysis, commercial finance, management accounting or finance business partnering.
• Ideal candidate: proactive, with strong technical expertise, commercial acumen and the ability to influence business decisions through sound financial analysis.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and management reporting.
• Excellent analytical, commercial and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting/ERP systems.
• Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
