Finance and Accounts Manager

About the role

The engineering firm based in Lekki, Lagos is looking for a dynamic Finance and Accounts Manager to lead its financial strategy and operations. This mid‑career role offers the chance to shape budgeting, reporting, tax compliance and project accounting for a growing engineering business.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with applicable standards.
• Lead the corporate budgeting and forecasting process, monitor variances and advise on cost‑control measures.
• Ensure full compliance with federal and state tax regulations, handling filings, audits and statutory deductions.
• Collaborate with project managers to track project expenses, cash flows and profit margins.
• Strengthen internal control frameworks and support internal and external audits.
• Supervise, mentor and develop the finance and accounts team.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant qualification (ICAN or ACCA).
• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in financial management or supervision.
• Experience in engineering, construction or oil & gas is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software such as Tallyprime, Sage, QuickBooks or ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
