Field Service Technician – Solar Power (Niger)

About the role

Daystar Power Group is seeking a competent Field Service Technician to maintain and operate its solar and hybrid power sites in Niger. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and commissioning photovoltaic (PV) equipment while ensuring high customer satisfaction through professional service.

Key responsibilities

• Execute operational and maintenance procedures for solar panels, batteries, inverters, diesel/gas generators, and hybrid systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance as scheduled or assigned.
• Conduct on‑site troubleshooting, diagnostics, and resolution of system faults.
• Monitor equipment performance, log data, and promptly report abnormalities.
• Support site uptime targets (≥99%) by assisting with installations, commissioning, and emergency response.
• Manage spare parts and tools, ensuring proper handling and inventory control.
• Collaborate with Field Service Engineers, NOC, Projects, SCM, and QHSE teams.
• Adhere to Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) standards and report hazards.
