Field Sales Engineer

About the role

Primote Africa is seeking a proactive Field Sales Engineer to drive sales of solar, inverter, HVAC and related electrical solutions across residential, commercial and industrial customers in Lagos. You will combine technical expertise with strong sales acumen to generate new business and ensure successful project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new sales opportunities for solar power systems, inverters, batteries, generators, backup power, HVAC, smart TVs and home appliances.
• Generate leads through field prospecting, referrals, networking and partnerships, and meet monthly sales targets.
• Conduct site inspections and energy assessments, understand customer power requirements and recommend suitable solutions.
• Prepare quotations, proposals and product presentations, explaining technical specifications and benefits.
• Maintain a strong pipeline, follow up leads promptly and ensure an excellent customer experience.
• Coordinate with installation and technical teams to guarantee successful project delivery.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer feedback, reporting insights to management.

Required profile

• Minimum HND/B.Sc. in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Physics or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in technical sales, solar sales, engineering services or electronics sales.
• Strong sales and negotiation abilities with a target‑driven mindset.
• Excellent communication, presentation and customer relationship management skills.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently in the field.
