Field Maintenance Engineer (Eastern Region)

About the role

The Field Maintenance Engineer (FME) based in the Eastern Region (Anambra state) will be responsible for daily service maintenance and managing the repair of site equipment, especially diesel generators. The role also includes establishing business relationships with customers and performing necessary administrative duties.

Key responsibilities

• Basic troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and repair on designated equipment.
• Completing preventive maintenance and field modifications.
• Overhauling diesel generators.
• Managing and maintaining back‑up batteries and RMS for optimal site performance.
• Taking total responsibility for site resources such as diesel supply.
• Ordering and managing repair parts to meet cycle‑time targets.
• Maintaining site service logs and internal service records promptly.
• Carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance on telecom passive equipment.
• Troubleshooting and repairing Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) and related systems.
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
• Overseeing and coordinating activities of electrical field engineering personnel.
• Supporting and ensuring quality of project delivery at sites.

Required profile

• Minimum OND or equivalent qualification.
• At least 5 years experience in telecom passive maintenance projects.
• Computer proficiency with good knowledge of ICT.

Required skills

• Diesel generator servicing and repair.
• Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) troubleshooting.
• Telecom passive equipment maintenance.
• Preventive and corrective maintenance procedures.
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
