Farm/Ranch Manager

About the role

MOM Ranch is seeking an experienced Farm/Ranch Manager to oversee both crop production and livestock operations in Abeokuta, Ogun State. You will lead a team, manage resources, and ensure sustainable, profitable farming practices.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement crop plans, monitor soil health, and manage planting, harvesting, and pest control.
• Oversee care of cows, goats, sheep, rams, and pigs, including health, nutrition, breeding, and housing.
• Supervise farm staff, maintain equipment, and optimise land, water, and feed usage.
• Track production metrics, prepare budgets and reports, and identify growth opportunities.
• Support budgeting, monitor expenses, analyse ROI, and assist marketing and sales strategies.
• Ensure compliance with agricultural, health, and safety regulations and promote sustainable practices.
• Train workers on best practices, safety procedures, and new technologies.
• Develop contingency plans for weather, pest, disease, and market risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, agribusiness, animal science, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience managing both crop production and livestock.
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical abilities.
• Knowledge of modern agricultural practices, budgeting, and cost control.
• Ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions.
