Farm Supervisor

About the role

The Farm Supervisor will oversee daily poultry operations at Ajeegbe Farms, ensuring optimal bird health, egg production, and bio‑security standards. This hands‑on role requires close monitoring of feed, water, housing, and waste management to maintain a productive and safe environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide feed and clean water according to schedule and ration plans; monitor intake and report abnormalities.
• Collect, sort, count, and store eggs 2–3 times daily, ensuring proper handling to avoid breakage.
• Observe birds for signs of illness or stress, isolate sick birds, and assist with vaccinations, medication, and vitamin administration.
• Maintain cleanliness of poultry houses, cages, and equipment; manage litter, bedding, and disinfection following bio‑security protocols.
• Record daily metrics such as mortality, feed consumption, egg output, and medication administered.
• Enforce strict bio‑security measures, including footbaths, protective clothing, and visitor control.
• Handle waste collection and support manure processing for composting or biogas use.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience in poultry or livestock farming.
• Physically agile, hardworking, and able to work long hours on site.
