Farm Manager – Supervise Operations & Boost Productivity

About the role

The Farm Manager will lead daily farm activities, ensuring efficient production of crops and livestock while maintaining high standards of safety and quality. Reporting to senior management, you will coordinate workers, contractors, and resources to meet the farm’s profitability goals.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and oversee all farm operations including planting, irrigation, fertilisation, pest control and harvesting.
• Supervise farm workers and contractors, providing guidance and performance feedback.
• Develop and implement crop production and livestock management programmes.
• Maintain farm machinery, equipment and infrastructure to ensure optimal functionality.
• Prepare and manage budgets, track expenses and keep accurate operational records.
• Ensure compliance with agricultural regulations, health and safety standards, and environmental policies.
• Source and manage inputs such as seeds, fertilizers, feeds and chemicals.
• Produce periodic reports on farm performance, productivity and profitability.
• Coordinate marketing and sales activities for farm produce.
• Introduce modern farming techniques and technologies to improve yield and efficiency.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of relevant farm management experience.
• OND (Ordinary National Diploma) or equivalent in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Animal Science or a related field.
• Strong organisational and budgeting abilities.
• Ability to lead teams and manage contractors effectively.
