Farm Manager

About the role

The Farm Manager will lead daily operations of a commercial poultry farm, ensuring optimal production, animal health, and resource efficiency. This role reports to senior management and contributes to the farm’s growth and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee poultry operations, including feed, water, and performance monitoring.
• Maintain accurate records of mortality, feed intake, egg production, and sales.
• Implement vaccination, medication, and bio‑security protocols; respond quickly to disease outbreaks.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate farm workers, fostering a safe and productive environment.
• Manage inventory of feed, medicines, equipment, and supplies while controlling operational costs.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and prepare regular reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science or a related agricultural field.
• Minimum of 3 years hands‑on experience managing a commercial poultry farm.
• Strong knowledge of poultry production, nutrition, vaccination, and bio‑security practices.
• Proven leadership and people‑management abilities.
• Excellent problem‑solving, organisational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production targets.
