Farm Attendant

About the role

The Farm Attendant will support daily poultry operations at Ajeegbe Farms, ensuring the health and productivity of the birds. This full‑time position involves hands‑on care, egg handling, and maintaining strict biosecurity standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide feed and clean water according to schedule and monitor intake.
• Collect, sort, count and store eggs 2–3 times daily, maintaining accurate records.
• Observe birds for signs of illness or stress, isolate sick birds and report to supervisor.
• Assist with vaccination, medication and vitamin administration as directed.
• Clean poultry houses, cages and equipment, manage litter and maintain dry bedding.
• Disinfect housing areas following bio‑security protocols and enforce foot‑bath and protective‑clothing use.
• Maintain daily logs of mortality, feed consumption, egg production and treatments.
• Handle waste disposal and support manure management for composting or biogas.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in poultry or farm operations.
• Physically agile, hardworking and able to work outdoors.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow safety and bio‑security procedures.
