Factory Manager - Pharmaceuticals & Cosmetics

About the role

Vixa Healthcare, a manufacturing company, is recruiting a Factory Manager for its facility in Ibafo, Ogun. The role provides overall leadership and strategic management of the entire factory, covering Production, Quality, Engineering, Warehouse and Safety, so that pharmaceutical and cosmetic products are manufactured efficiently, in compliance with cGMP and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Own the factory P&L and operations from raw materials to finished goods, and run the annual business, production and budget plans
• Control operating costs (labor, utilities, consumables, overtime) and approve purchases within limits
• Oversee raw material planning, inventory control and finished goods warehousing, keeping stock accuracy above 99%
• Ensure cGMP compliance and audit readiness, with zero critical observations from NAFDAC, PCN, SON and international audits
• Implement the quality system (deviations, CAPA, change control, validation, stability) and liaise with Group Regulatory Affairs on product registration
• Run preventive maintenance, approve CAPEX, and ensure reliable utilities
• Lead the heads of department, manage manpower and succession planning, and enforce HSE with zero lost time injury
• Approve the master production schedule, drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement

Required profile

• B.Pharm, M.Sc. in Pharmaceutical Technology, or B.Eng. in Chemical, Mechanical or Industrial Chemistry
• Proven track record managing a multi-product plant (tablets, liquids, creams, cosmetics)
• 6 years in manufacturing, with at least 3 years as Production Manager / Factory Manager
• MBA is an added advantage
• Registered pharmacist or engineer with strong regulatory knowledge and proven NAFDAC audit experience
