Facility Technician

About the role

The Facility Technician is a full‑time, on‑site position responsible for maintaining and repairing the hospital’s facilities, equipment, and building systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections of critical care areas, surgical suites, and support spaces.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and correct mechanical, electrical, and plumbing defects.
• Coordinate with clinical and administrative teams to minimise downtime and safety risks.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and support preventive‑maintenance programmes.
• Assist external contractors when specialised services are required.

Required profile

• Practical experience in facility management and building maintenance.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests.
• Good organisational skills, attention to detail and basic computer literacy for logging activities.
• Relevant technical certification or diploma in engineering, building services, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in a hospital or healthcare environment is an advantage.
