Facility & Kitchen Equipment Technician

About the role

Gourmet Twist is seeking a proactive Technician to ensure the smooth operation of its kitchen and facility equipment in Lekki, Lagos. The role focuses on minimizing downtime, maintaining equipment reliability, and upholding a safe working environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on kitchen appliances and building systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and minor structural faults.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and equipment breakdowns.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues before they affect operations.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and service records.
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and operational standards.
• Monitor utility usage and suggest improvements to reduce downtime and costs.

Required profile

• OND, HND, or Trade Test Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Technical Maintenance, or a related field.
• Minimum three years of hands‑on experience in equipment or facility maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and general maintenance systems.
• Ability to work independently, solve problems under pressure, and handle emergency repairs.
• Good understanding of health and safety practices.
