Executive Director – Virtual Asset Service Provider

About the role

RedotPay is seeking an Executive Director to lead its Nigerian VASP operations. The role provides strategic leadership, ensures regulatory compliance, and aligns the entity with group objectives while maintaining high standards of governance and risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day management and execution of the VASP strategy (exchange, custody, transfers) in full compliance with SEC Nigeria regulations and group policies.
• Oversee governance, risk management and compliance frameworks, integrating group AML, fiat risk, TMS and business continuity policies.
• Manage relationships with SEC Nigeria and other regulators, handling licensing, reporting, audits and incident notifications.
• Ensure robust operational controls, client asset segregation, transaction monitoring and business continuity arrangements.
• Drive financial performance, operational efficiency and a strong risk culture while protecting the entity’s reputation.
• Coordinate with group functions (Compliance, Risk, Technology, Finance) and report regularly to the local Board and group leadership.
• Promote a compliance‑first culture and ensure adherence to Nigerian AML/CFT, consumer protection and VASP‑specific requirements.
• Participate in Board meetings, contributing to strategic decision‑making, risk oversight and governance.

Required profile

• First degree or equivalent in a relevant field, or secondary qualification with at least fifteen years relevant experience.
• Minimum four years post‑qualification experience in virtual assets, financial technology or related areas (excluding NYSC year).
• Proven experience managing regulatory relationships and ensuring compliance in a financial services environment.
• Strong understanding of Nigerian SEC regulations, AML/CFT requirements and VASP operations.
