Equipment Repair Centre Manager

About the role

Julius Berger Nigeria Plc is seeking an Equipment Repair Centre Manager to lead multiple workshops within its Plant & Equipment Department. Based in Abuja (with responsibilities also covering Port Harcourt), you will ensure that all plant, construction and support equipment is maintained to the highest technical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a team of 50–300 employees, including workshop supervisors and technical staff across several workshops.
• Oversee maintenance, repair and inspection activities for a wide range of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical equipment.
• Develop and implement efficient workflows to improve workshop performance and reduce downtime.
• Act as the primary liaison with customers, field service teams and internal stakeholders to deliver timely solutions.
• Maintain strict safety and quality standards throughout all operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering (Master’s degree is a plus).
• 5–10 years of experience in heavy equipment, plant or vehicle maintenance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Proven ability to manage technical, operational and financial responsibilities in complex environments.
• Excellent communication skills in English (B2/C1) and a safety‑, quality‑ and results‑driven mindset.
