Equipment & Logistics Lead

About the role

Daiik Engineering Limited is a diversified engineering company operating in oil, gas, petro‑chemical, power, food and beverage sectors. We are seeking an Equipment / Logistics Lead to manage inventory, maintenance and shipment operations for our projects in Port Harcourt.

Key responsibilities

• Track and maintain inventory databases for tools, machinery, and site assets.
• Schedule preventive maintenance and repairs for operational equipment and fleet vehicles.
• Coordinate equipment allocation, check‑ins, and check‑outs across various project sites.
• Inspect tools and heavy machinery to ensure compliance with workplace safety standards.
• Plan and schedule inbound and outbound shipments of materials and equipment.
• Optimize shipping and delivery routes to reduce costs and improve fuel efficiency.
• Monitor active transits in real time and resolve delays or route disruptions quickly.
• Negotiate rates and build relationships with freight carriers, vendors, and haulage providers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional certifications such as CSCP or CLTD are an advantage.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Proven experience in logistics, warehouse management, or fleet operations within oil & gas or construction environments.
• Strong understanding of HSE requirements and regulatory compliance.
