Engineering Manager (Site Reliability)

About the role

Moniepoint is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead its Site Reliability Engineering tooling team. You will translate product requirements into actionable technical work, coordinate cross‑functional stakeholders, and ensure reliable delivery of critical services.

Key responsibilities

• Own delivery and execution within the Site Reliability Engineering tooling team.
• Evaluate product requirements for feasibility, align them with existing architecture, and break them into EPICs and technical stories.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineers to refine and groom tasks.
• Plan and organize sprints, set timelines, define milestones, and identify dependencies early.
• Foster engineering processes that promote seamless collaboration and teamwork.
• Track team velocity, balance bandwidth with task demands, and allocate resources effectively.
• Coordinate alignment and manage dependencies across multiple stakeholders to prevent bottlenecks.
• Contribute to critical projects by applying appropriate design patterns and coding techniques.
• Participate in code reviews to uphold high‑quality standards.
• Ensure monitoring and observability are in place for all owned services, meeting defined SLIs/SLOs.
• Partner with Product Managers to track and publish post‑deployment product metrics.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience as a Software Developer, Engineer, or similar role.
• At least 5 years of hands‑on experience with Node.js and Python.
• Minimum 3 years of leadership experience managing engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and sprint planning.
• Proven ability to translate product requirements into technical deliverables.
