Engineering Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead engineering operations within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. The role ensures equipment reliability, regulatory compliance and drives continuous improvement across production lines and utility systems.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all engineering and maintenance activities across production lines and utility systems such as HVAC, water and compressed air.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, safety standards and other regulatory requirements.
• Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Oversee installation, commissioning and validation of new equipment and systems.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality Assurance and Regulatory teams to support smooth manufacturing operations.
• Lead troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis of equipment failures and process issues.
• Develop and manage engineering budgets, cost control and resource allocation.
• Supervise and mentor engineering team members to enhance productivity.
• Maintain proper documentation, including SOPs, maintenance logs and validation reports.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, safety and product quality.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading engineering teams in a pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, safety regulations and validation requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and allocate resources effectively.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and experience with root‑cause analysis.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with Production, QA and Regulatory departments.
