Engineering Manager - Fintech

About the role

A leading Fintech, represented by eRecruiter, is hiring an Engineering Manager. The team values bottom-up innovation and decentralized decision-making, and the manager will lead through servant-style leadership, remove roadblocks and help balance engineering excellence with fast delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Help build a collaborative culture that supports a distributed team
• Work with stakeholders to recruit, grow and empower engineers with strong ownership and technical excellence
• Craft a long-term technical strategy that balances future needs with today's priorities
• Act as a hands-on technical contributor and mentor, doing technical work when appropriate
• Work with other engineering managers and functional leads to set direction and ambitious goals

Required profile

• 2+ years of engineering management experience, preferably in an established technology firm or a product-focused high-growth startup
• Experience handling performance reviews, including at least one full cycle handled independently
• 4+ years of hands-on software engineering experience across organizations, industries and technology stacks
• Project management experience ensuring timelines and quality
• Great communicator
