About the role

Join Baker Hughes as an Emerging Talent Intern and gain hands‑on experience in a global energy company. The program is designed for recent graduates in engineering disciplines to work on real projects, receive mentorship, and develop a solid foundation for a professional career.

Key responsibilities

• Receive coaching and mentoring to complete assignments and projects.
• Deliver internal projects that create customer outcomes and identify business improvements.
• Learn and use internal software tools to support project tasks.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and fellow interns.
• Apply Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) standards and procedures.
• Work with a technical team on subsea technology and products, with possible offshore deployment.
• Gain exposure to various business units such as finance, commercial and project management.

Required profile

• Graduated with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Production or Software Engineering within the last 2 years.
• GPA ≥ 3.0/5.0 (or equivalent).
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Legal right to work in Nigeria without restrictions.
• Completed Nigeria’s National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) within the last 2 years.
• Strong communication skills, proactive and innovative mindset.
