Electrical Technician

About the role

Thyaura Partners Concept Limited, an ISO 9001:2015 certified company providing commercial and residential facility management, cleaning services, height-related services and equipment leasing, is looking for an Electrical Technician in Victoria Island, Lagos. The technician maintains electrical systems, identifies faults and ensures installations and equipment run safely and efficiently. The position is full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect electrical systems regularly and carry out preventive maintenance to minimise equipment failures.
• Diagnose electrical faults and perform repairs and corrective maintenance.
• Troubleshoot lighting systems, power distribution panels, circuit breakers and electrical control equipment.
• Respond promptly to electrical emergencies, breakdowns and maintenance requests.
• Support electrical installation, upgrade and improvement projects as required.
• Identify defective components and recommend suitable replacements.
• Conduct electrical tests with appropriate tools and equipment.
• Report significant faults, equipment failures and potential safety hazards to the supervisor.
• Collaborate with other maintenance staff and ensure work complies with safety regulations and company procedures.
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures and use the correct PPE, and document maintenance work and repairs.

Required profile

• Higher National Diploma (HND) in an electrical or related technical discipline, as accepted by the employer.
• Between two and five years of relevant work experience.
• Practical knowledge of electrical troubleshooting, repairs, testing and preventive maintenance.
• Understanding of electrical safety procedures and proper handling of technical equipment.
• Able to identify faults and work effectively with other technical personnel.
