Electrical Technician

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Electrical Technician to join Nigeria Distilleries Limited in Abeokuta. The role involves installing, maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems across our production facilities, ensuring safety and compliance with standards.

Key responsibilities

• Install and commission wiring, switches, lighting fixtures, circuit breakers and other electrical components according to technical drawings.
• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance and repair of faulty equipment or outdated installations.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults using appropriate testing equipment and diagnostic tools.
• Ensure all work complies with local and international electrical codes, grounding and circuit protection requirements.
• Upgrade existing systems to meet new production demands or regulatory changes.
• Collaborate with mechanical technicians, engineers, safety managers and vendors to integrate electrical work with plant operations.
• Maintain accurate documentation of installations, maintenance schedules, repair logs and modifications.
• Apply safety procedures and use personal protective equipment to minimise hazards.

Required profile

• Entry‑level qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Up to two years of hands‑on experience in industrial electrical work.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical specifications.
• Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
