Electrical Inspector – Plant Operations

About the role

The Electrical Inspector will coordinate and control the execution of inspections on all process and auxiliary electrical equipment at the Mfamosing plant. The role ensures equipment operates at optimal performance while maintaining high safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate with operations personnel to identify equipment issues and their impact on processes.
• Analyse problems to determine mechanical, electrical or operational causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Investigate repetitive failures and initiate corrective maintenance procedures.
• Monitor equipment condition and advise when shutdowns are required to prevent damage or injury.
• Ensure compliance with safety practices, availability of safety equipment and provision of first‑aid when needed.
• Maintain reliability data (vibrations, temperatures, hours, causes) for RCFA analysis.
• Enter accurate work orders in the CMMS, including proper equipment numbers and priority codes.
• Administer a thermographic analysis program for critical electrical assets and report findings.
• Prepare daily work schedules for preventive maintenance tasks using the CMMS.
• Assist in planning systematic overhauls of major equipment and participate in the on‑call maintenance program.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills to interact with production, process and maintenance teams.
• Ability to analyse equipment data and identify root causes of failures.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and emergency response procedures.
• Experience documenting and tracking maintenance activities in a CMMS.
