Electrical Engineer – Lighting Installation & Commissioning

About the role

SolutionMall is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support lighting installation and commissioning on local projects across Nigeria. The position is part‑time and project‑based, with work assigned when suitable projects arise. Engineers will be engaged on a per‑project basis, with scope, schedule and compensation defined beforehand.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the installation of lighting fixtures and related equipment at project sites.
• Inspect electrical wiring and equipment connections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Perform operational testing and basic commissioning of lighting systems.
• Troubleshoot common installation and operating issues.
• Provide regular updates on site conditions and project progress.
• Offer basic operating guidance to clients when required.

Required profile

• Experience in lighting, electrical installation or related fieldwork.
• Basic knowledge of electrical wiring and safe working practices.
• Ability to read simple installation or wiring diagrams.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to attend local project sites as needed.
