Electrical Engineer

About the role

Swift Consulting is seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer to lead the design, installation and commissioning of solar photovoltaic (PV) and power generation projects in Lagos. The role involves overseeing electrical works across residential, commercial and industrial sites while ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, install and commission solar PV systems and other power generation equipment.
• Plan, supervise and maintain electrical wiring and power distribution networks for diverse projects.
• Conduct site surveys, load assessments and feasibility studies to support project planning.
• Prepare electrical drawings, technical reports and comprehensive project documentation.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults efficiently.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment.
• Supervise technicians, contractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Liaise with clients, providing technical support throughout project execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in solar energy, power generation, wiring and distribution.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Membership with a professional engineering body is an advantage.
