Educational Counsellor

About the role

The Educational Counsellor will guide prospective students through the entire study‑abroad journey, from selecting suitable programmes to securing visas. This part‑time position supports students and their families in making informed decisions about international education.

Key responsibilities

• Assess students' academic background, interests and career goals to recommend appropriate countries, institutions and courses.
• Provide detailed information on entry requirements, tuition fees, scholarships and career prospects.
• Assist with university and course selection, comparing rankings, costs and employment outcomes.
• Support the completion and submission of application forms and required documents.
• Offer visa guidance, prepare supporting paperwork and conduct mock visa interviews.
• Advise on English language test requirements (IELTS, PTE, TOEFL) and recommend preparation resources.
• Maintain accurate records, track deadlines and prepare reports for management and partner institutions.
• Conduct seminars, webinars and education fairs to generate leads and convert enquiries into enrolments.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 year relevant experience in student counselling or education advisory.
• Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in a related field.
• Strong knowledge of international education pathways and visa processes.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Required skills

• Proficiency in guiding students through IELTS, PTE or TOEFL requirements.
• Ability to manage application documentation and deadlines.
• Familiarity with visa application procedures.
