Education Officer – Gombe State, Nigeria

About the role

Education Officers will lead the rollout of EIDU’s digital learning programme in public and private schools across Gombe State, working closely with local, state and federal education authorities. The role focuses on training teachers, supporting school visits and ensuring the programme’s sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate teacher onboarding, training and ongoing support for the EIDU digital curriculum.
• Train and assist government education officers in using the EIDU Field App and dashboards for planning, monitoring and reporting.
• Promote adoption of digital tools for lesson planning and student engagement.
• Act as liaison between EIDU and state‑level education events, representing the organisation when required.
• Build and maintain relationships with state education officers to coordinate teacher‑training programmes.
• Prepare and present progress reports to government officials and EIDU leadership, using dashboards for real‑time monitoring.
• Conduct school visits to observe implementation, provide feedback and support teachers.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of the education sector in Nigeria.
• Experience working with government officials or education ministries.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Ability to travel within Gombe State for school visits and trainings.
