About the role
The Editor will manage image selection, editing, and coordination of photo projects to support publication needs.
Key responsibilities
- Review large batches of photos and select the strongest, most relevant images for stories.
- Edit and retouch photos using Adobe Photoshop or Lightroom to meet publication standards.
- Hire photographers, pitch visual concepts, and coordinate shoots, including studio bookings and travel arrangements.
- Collaborate with art directors, editors‑in‑chief, and writers to align visuals with brand and layout.
- Manage copyright, negotiate fees, and ensure legal compliance for all published media.
- Track assignment progress, manage image databases, and meet deadlines for print and web publication.
