About the role
We are seeking a reliable driver to support the Wildlife Conservation Society’s operations in Okwangwo, Nigeria. The driver will transport staff, equipment and supplies to field sites, ensuring timely and safe travel in remote and challenging conditions.
Key responsibilities
- Operate vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic and WCS safety regulations.
- Plan and follow daily routes to project sites, research stations and community locations.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections, basic maintenance and report any issues promptly.
- Assist with loading and unloading of equipment, field supplies and samples.
- Maintain accurate travel logs and fuel records.
Required profile
- Valid Nigerian driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
- Experience driving in rural and off‑road environments (minimum 1 month).
- Good knowledge of local roads and ability to navigate without GPS.
- Physical fitness to handle loading tasks and long hours on the road.
- Reliability, punctuality and ability to work independently.
